Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most well-known roles are Shannon Rutherford, a character on ABC's Lost series as well as Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Originating from Worthington Ohio she quit high school in order to relocate in Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. Though she struggled financially in 2001, her debut came in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. Her performance in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the role she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace has worked with Tom Welling on The Fog during 2005, wanted to move to film. She appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and also starred alongside Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the main character Alice on Malice in Wonderland a modern version of Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series in the final two episodes as Shannon. In 2013, she was a guest in the sixth season of Californication. She is Faith, a groupie who serves as a model for the stars and catches the eye to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Part of the Gyllenhaal family She is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager her career began on small roles with her father. She also appeared in Donnie Darko with her sister. She also starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her leading performances in the erotic romance comedy Secretary (2002) as well as the drama Sherrybaby (2006) each of which resulted in the Golden Globe Award nomination. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following many highly successful movies, such as World Trade Center (2006) and World Trade Center (2006), earned Gyllenhaal more fame. Her performance in Crazy Heart as a mother who is a single parent earned her nomination to the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. Her subsequent roles include Nanny McPhee, in the Big Bang and Hysteria. Her other roles includes Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller), musicians in Frank (2014, drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as the role of the Kindergarten Teacher. In 2021, Gyllenhaal made her writing and directed debut in the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she won an award at the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
